Event
Visual Arts Group Wales (VAGW) is holding one Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshop that aims to allow space and time for curiosity. This event is a direct response to VAGW’s latest survey ‘COVID-19 and visual arts in Wales’ focusing on who it is that VAGW is not currently serving. This workshop will allow curious, intrigued, and struggling artists to interact with VAGW for the first time, understand what support is, or can be, available, and begin to imagine their unique journeys into the arts.
In attending this event you will be able to :
- Hear firsthand from the facilitators about their own personal journeys into the sector, two very different paths.
- Ask questions that you may have previously been too shy or unsure to ask.
- Question where it is you are with your personal journey and start to understand what it is you need to progress on to the next step.
- Network and meet other creatives from across Wales.
We encourage participants to submit any questions they have regarding the visual arts sector prior to the event. All submissions will be treated with discretion and will be presented to the facilitators anonymously.
Curious about the arts sector and how to begin your journey in Wales?
There will be opportunity to participate however this is optional, you can attend as just an observer, you are not obligated to have your camera on and we encourage participants to use the chatbox but respect is mandatory.
How to sign up
We really want to welcome the widest range of people throughout Wales who can contribute to the conversation and grow the sector.
We invite the widest range of people from across Wales who are curious and interested in the visual and applied arts in some capacity, including (but not exclusively) college/ sixth form students, recent graduates, those who have received below 5k of funding, practising artists who feel generally unsupported, and hobbyists.
To book your place fill in this google form by Midday Saturday 17 April.
